cartilage<\/strong>. Whereas in a healthy joint the cartilage distributes the loads, in osteoarthritis the cartilage tissue is damaged. This puts more and more pressure on the joint and the cartilage damage spreads. Aging processes and genetic predisposition contribute to the progressive degradation and eventual loss of articular cartilage. <strong>Hip joint arthrosis &#8211; also known as coxarthrosis<\/strong> &#8211; is the term used to describe the increasing wear and tear of the cartilage in the hip joint.<\/p>\n<p>Since osteoarthritis is a degenerative wear disease, early treatment is necessary. Already damaged tissue can only be regenerated to a limited extent and later stages can no longer be healed.
