When the cartilage is already largely worn away and shock loads are transmitted unchecked to the joint bone, inflammation often develops, and this is responsible for most of the pain. If anti-inflammatory injections or tablets then no longer help, the only remaining option is often a prosthesis. This is exactly where the new <strong>EMTT\u00ae procedure offers an alternative<\/strong>. Extracorporeal magnetotransduction therapy, EMTT\u00ae for short, is a further development of the recognised and effective magnetic field therapy, now using high-energy magnetic pulses. For the treatment, a therapy loop is positioned over the painful area without you, as the patient, having to remove any clothing. The high-energy magnetic pulses are then transmitted to the body, where they take effect. The new <strong>EMTT\u00ae procedure<\/strong> differs from other forms of magnetic field therapy in its higher oscillation frequency and magnetic field strength \u2013 the pulse intensity exceeds the earth\u2019s magnetic field by a factor of 1,000. Thanks to the high energy and corresponding depth of penetration, the inflamed bone cells can be stimulated to regenerate. Cell metabolism can be reactivated and the physiological processes normalised. A treatment lasts between 5 and 20 minutes and is carried out in 6\u20138 sessions, depending on severity and response to the therapy. The result: \u201cThe osteoarthritis is not cured by this, but \u2026\u201d, says <a title=\"Prof. Dr. Peter Diehl - Orthopaedic Center Munich East\" href=\"https:\/\/www.orthopaediezentrum-muenchenost.de\/en\/clinic-team\/prof-dr-med-habil-peter-diehl\/\">Professor Diehl<\/a> of OZMO, \u201c\u2026 we know that there are many patients who walk without complaints even with advanced osteoarthritis, because they have no inflammation in the bone.\u201d There is a chance that the healing of the bone inflammation set in motion by the EMTT\u00ae treatment will lead to a longer-lasting pain-free phase. A ray of hope for osteoarthritis patients who were previously considered to have exhausted all treatment options. This intensive form of magnetic field treatment can also be used for tendonitis, sports injuries or pain therapy, particularly of the spine.
