Orthopaedics Center Munich East at the Sports Symposium 2026 in Ruhpolding

This year, the Orthopaedics Center Munich East (OZMO) will once again be represented at the Sports Symposium 2026 in Ruhpolding – one of the leading events for further and advanced training in sports orthopaedics. From February 26 to March 1, 2026, participants can look forward to exciting medical lectures, practical workshops and technical training on the Steinplatte/Winklmoosalm.

Our experts at the symposium

As co-organizer, the OZMO is once again contributing its strong expertise. Several of our doctors are actively involved in the program:

  • Prof. Dr. Peter Diehl, Scientific Director, will talk about modern treatment methods and current developments in sports orthopaedics.
  • PD Dr. Johannes Schauwecker presents findings on “Sport with endoprosthesis”.
  • Dr. Meinhard Balensiefen gives an insight into injury prevention in international ice hockey.

The symposium combines science and practice in a special way: In addition to specialist lectures on tendopathies, shoulder instabilities, cruciate ligament reconstructions and running analysis, there will be daily practical modules on skiing, ski acrobatics, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Participants can complete a total of 32 hours of further training, which are recognized by the BLÄK.

As OZMO, we are delighted to be part of this important event, to contribute new ideas to sports medicine and to further strengthen the exchange between colleagues – for modern and high-performance orthopaedic care in popular and competitive sports.
